Configure OneLogin

To configure OneLogin SSO for use with Sonar, you must install Sonar as an OpenID Connect application in your OneLogin instance. To do so, navigate to the OneLogin administrator portal and select the Applications option from the Applications menu at the top of the screen.

On the Applications page, click the Add App button, then search for OpenID Connect. Select the OpenID Connect (OIDC) application from the search results.

This will bring you to the application's configuration page. Give it an appropriate display name, like "Sonar Software," and if you desire, add a brief description of the application, and set up any other logos or images as directed by OneLogin. Once you're satisfied with your settings, click the Save button.

After clicking Save to create the application, you will be shown several additional tabs with more information. Click the configuration tab. Under Redirect URLs, add the following URL:

https://{yourcompanyname}.seesonar.com/integrations/oidc

Be sure to replace {yourcompanyname} with something appropriate to your company; then, click the Save button again to ensure the change takes effect.

Finally, click the SSO tab and make note of the Client ID and Issuer URL values. You will need these later.

Configure your Sonar Account

After you've completed the steps above, send the following to your CSM or our Support team:

  • The redirect URL you entered above.
  • Your client ID
  • Your issuer URL

Using SSO

After SSO has been set up and configured, your Sonar login page will have the option to sign in with a Sonar user name and password, or by using OneLogin.
